These reports provided information of the expected energy requirements to heat the dwelling in winter and cool the dwelling in summer to create a comfortable environment.

As a result of the data that is provided and   the energy consumption,  a star rating is also issued for the property.

The NSW government is looking at introducing Energy Rating Reports as part of the sale process.

If the new NSW legislation for Energy Rating Reports is  approved by Parliament  after being  debated than the Energy Rating Reports will  reflect the changes in the legislation to comply with the sale of property in NSW.
